The video below is part 2 of a 3-part series documenting a 7-day trek into the Bridger Wilderness of the Wind River Mountain Range in Wyoming in August of 2020 by Melissa Berger and myself. The video covers days 2 and 3 and has some really remarkable shots and video of some territory that does not see a lot of human occupation. Bald Mountain Basin was the highlight of day 2 and crossing the continental divide at Fall Creek Pass and descending past Dennis Lake to Golden Lake was the highlight of day 3, and maybe the whole trip.
The video following is Part 1 of a 3-part series documenting a 7-day trek into the Bridger Wilderness of the Wind River Mountain Range in Wyoming in August of 2020 by Melissa Berger and myself. The video covers our first day, a 14-1/2-mile segment from Elkhart Park Trailhead up the hill to Cook Lakes where we spend our first night.
The following video is my 2nd attempt at putting a video together and posting it on-line, our 2017 backpacking trek into the Wind River Range, this time with a 5-person team. The video covers our 8-day, 80-mile journey and has some spectacular scenery included. We traverse the Glacier Trail for the first two days, then go off-trail into some amazing and secluded territory where we see no other humans for several days. We ultimately traverse Knifepoint Glacier and cross the Continental Divide at Indian Pass and then witness the total solar eclipse from directly under neath. Mostly still pictures with some video, for the scenery is quite remarkable.
The video below is the first video I ever created and posted on You Tube. The video is made up of mostly still pictures and some bad video taken on a 2016 trip into the Wind Reiver Mountain Range of Wyoming. It is also the first backpacking adventure I had ever gone on. The journey presented is a 7-day loop from Big Sandy Trailhead in the south of the range going north over Hailey Pass and returning south over Washakie Pass. We see Dad’s Lake, Washakie Creek, Mae’s Lake, Pyramid Lake, Twin Lakes, Baptiste Creek, Grave Lake, South Fork of the Little Wind River, Washakie Lake, Washakie Glacier, Pyramid Peak, Mt. Hooker, and Mt. Washakie on our journey.
The following video was taken in late March 2019 in Kathmandu, Nepal. We visited Pashupatinath Temple on the banks of the Bagmati River, it is one of the most sacred Hindu Temples in Nepal. It is also the prime location for conducting family cremations. The video quality is not great, but it is interesting.
The following video is of a 2019 trip to Nepal to trek to the base of Mount Everest and see and visit Everest Base Camp. It is not a well-done video. My heart just wasn’t in it. The trip did not go well. My lips turned blue at 15,000 ft above sea level and I had to turn back go down the mountain. It took me quite a while to get over that trip physically and emotionally. And my fancy video camera that I bought for the trip stopped working properly the first day we departed so we had to rely on my Nikon stills and phone videos mostly in the making of this video.
The following is a short video of my ascent of the tallest mountain in Arizona, Humphrey’s Peak, in June of 2020. I plan on going back and making the summit again in 2022 at age 64 after taking 2021 off.
